Tennessee High School Softball - Rhea County knocked off by Cookeville

April 22, 2024: Cookeville, TN 38501

In Monday's non-league contest, the Cookeville Cavaliers (Cookeville, TN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN), by a margin of 9-0.

With the triumph, Cookeville moves its record to 18-10 on the year. The Cavaliers host Stewarts Creek (Smyrna, TN) to play the Red Hawks in a 4A District 8 contest on Monday, April 22. The Red Hawks come into the contest with a record of 18-9. Stewarts Creek lost 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Coffee County Central (Manchester, TN)

In their next game, the Golden Eagles play the McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) in a 4A District 5 contest, on Tuesday, April 23. Rhea County will attempt to move on its 7-12 season record.
