Firth Cougars (Firth, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ririe Bulldogs (Ririe, ID), 10-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salmon for a 2A Nuclear challenge on Tuesday, April 16.

With the loss, Ririe falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to North Fremont (Ashton, ID) to battle the Huskies in a 2A Nuclear challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 6-1. North Fremont won 11-7 in their recent league challenge against West Jefferson (Terreton, ID)
