Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Redbirds now sport a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they host Pekin for a Mid-Illini challenge on Monday, April 15. Metamora will face a Dragons squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Washington (Washington, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Railsplitters host East Peoria (East Peoria, IL) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. East Peoria won 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Limestone (Bartonville, IL)
