Munford Lions (Munford, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lincoln Golden Bears (Lincoln, AL), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they host Oxford for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 12-14 on the campaign. The Golden bears travel to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL) to face the Volunteers in a 5A Area 10 challenge on Monday, April 15. The Volunteers enter the challenge with a record of 10-6.
