The Oak Glen Golden Bears routed the host Lincoln Cougars softball squad by a count of 16-7 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Golden Bears (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Brooke (Wellsburg, WV). The Bruins go into the non-league battle with a 0-15 record. In their last battle, Brooke was routed by Toronto (Toronto, OH), 10-5, in a non-league battle.
The Cougars now sport a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bridgeport for a Big Ten battle on Monday, April 15. Lincoln will meet a Indians squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV). The Indians record now stands at 3-9.
