The Merrill Vandals softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Valley Lutheran Chargers to 1 in the Vandals non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Merrill moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Vandals host Montabella (Blanchard, MI) to clash with the Mustangs in a Mid-State game on Monday, April 15. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the Carrollton Cavaliers (Carrollton, MI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 13. Valley Lutheran will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
