In Saturday's non-league contest, the West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) softball team held off the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), by a margin of 7-6.

With the triumph, West Lauderdale moves its record to 23-2 on the year. The Knights travel to Newton County (Decatur, MS) to play the Cougars in a 4A Region 4 contest on Saturday, April 13. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 15-6. Newton County lost 4-1 in their recent league contest against West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS)

In their next game, the Rockets play the Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 15. Neshoba Central will attempt to move on its 22-4 season record. The Dragons come into the contest with a 18-5 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS).
