Pendleton County Wildcat (Franklin, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcat now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tygarts Valley for a Potomac Valley challenge on Monday, April 15. Pendleton County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-1 non-league loss to Gilmer County (Glenville, WV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Philip Barbour falls to 9-1 on the campaign. The Colts host Lewis County (Weston, WV) to battle the Minutemen in a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 15. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Lewis County lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV)
