The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the host Bath County Wildcats (Owingsville, KY), observed Boyd County's softball team get by Bath County by a final score of 8-7.

The Lions (11-6) will now prepare for their bout against Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY). The Patriots go into the non-league bout with a 12-4 record. In their last bout, Allen County-Scottsville tipped Warren East (Bowling Green, KY), 2-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 13. Bath County will attempt to better on its 10-8 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Central Hardin (Cecilia, KY).
