The Fivay Falcons (Hudson, FL) softball nipped the visiting Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes (Spring Hill, FL), 10-9 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Falcons (10-8) will now prepare for their bout against Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL). The Bulls go into the non-league bout with a 13-11 record. In their last bout, Wiregrass Ranch held off Leto (Tampa, FL), 11-0, in a league bout.

Game Summary
The Falcons trailed for most of the game before scoring one run in the bottom of the seventh for a 10-9 win over Bishop McLaughlin. Kyrstin Wallen and Jasmin Blossfield had two hits apiece and two runs scored. Jessalyn McNelly, Alyssa Jamieson, and Samantha Proctor had the other Fivay hits. Jasmin Blossfield was the starting pitcher going 3 innings before giving way to winning pitcher Kyrstin Wallen who threw the final 4 innings.
