California High School Baseball - James Lick sneaks past Independence

Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the James Lick Comets (San Jose, CA) and the host Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA), saw James Lick's baseball squad edge Independence by a count of 3-2.

Coming up next, the Comets play the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA) in a West Valley battle, on Tuesday, April 26. James Lick will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Aztec Warriors enter the battle with a 1-7 record after their 10-4 league win over Overfelt (San Jose, CA).

The 76ers now possess a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a West Valley battle on Tuesday, April 26. Independence will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Hill (San Jose, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-11.
