Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), 12-4 in a league test.
With the win, Miyamura upgrades its record to 9-12 on the season. The Patriots travel to Aztec (Aztec, NM) to battle the Tigers in a 4A District 1 test on Tuesday, April 19. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 15-6. Aztec won 7-2 in their recent league test against Gallup (Gallup, NM)
With the defeat, Shiprock falls to 10-8 on the season. The Chieftains host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM) to battle the Bobcats in a 4A District 1 test on Tuesday, April 19. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 12-8. Bloomfield won 7-6 in their recent league test against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM)
