In Thursday's league contest, the Providence Pioneers (Burbank, CA) volleyball squad nudged the host Polytechnic Panthers (Pasadena, CA), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Pioneers battle the Eagle Rock Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 18. Providence will attempt to better on its 14-8 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 25-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA).

With the loss, Polytechnic moves to 8-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to Chadwick (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA) to battle the Dolphins in a Prep contest on Tuesday, April 19. The Dolphins go into the contest with a record of 0-12. Chadwick lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Rio Hondo Prep (Arcadia, CA)
