The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) and the visiting Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL), saw Athens's soccer squad get by Buckhorn by a margin of 1-0.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Austin for a non-league test on Monday, April 18. Athens will meet a Black Bears squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL). The Black Bears record now stands at 13-4.
With the loss, Buckhorn drops to 8-10 on the season. The Bucks travel to Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, April 25. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 13-4.
