LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fisher for a Heart of Illinois challenge on Friday, April 15. LeRoy will battle a Bunnies squad coming off a 15-4 league loss to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Bunnies record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Blue Ridge falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Knights host Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL) to battle the Blue Devils in a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Friday, April 15. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 8-10. Villa Grove lost 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Sullivan (Sullivan, IL)
