California High School Softball - University Prep Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy

University Prep Jaguars (Victorville, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Big Bear for a Cross Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 19. University Prep will battle a Bears squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Excelsior Charter (Victorville, CA). The Bears record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The travel to Academy for Academic Excellence (Apple Valley, CA) to battle the Knights in a Cross Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Academy for Academic Excellence lost 10-5 in their recent league challenge against Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA)
