Harrisburg Bulldogs (Harrisburg, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they host Murphysboro for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio challenge on Friday, April 15. Harrisburg will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Benton (Benton, IL). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Frankfort falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Redbirds travel to Galatia/Thompsonville (Galatia, IL) to face the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Galatia/Thompsonville won 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Pope County (Golconda, IL)
