The Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) softball routed the host Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), 13-4 in Thursday's league bout.

The Dukes (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Bethel (Hampton, VA). The Bruins go into the Peninsula bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Bethel notched a victory over Denbigh (Newport News, VA), 14-0, in a league bout.

The Wolverines now possess a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Menchville for a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, April 19. Woodside will confront a Monarchs squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 7-1.
