Grand Oaks Grizzlies (Spring, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Willis for a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Grand Oaks will battle a Wildkats squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX). The Wildkats record now stands at 11-16.

With the loss, The Woodlands falls to 15-10 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Conroe (Conroe, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-21. Conroe lost 7-6 in their recent league challenge against College Park (The Woodlands, TX)
