In Thursday's non-league contest, the Malden Catholic Lancers (Malden, MA) softball team held off the visiting Ursuline Academy Bears (Dedham, MA), by a margin of 8-7.
With the triumph, Malden Catholic moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Lancers travel to Ursuline Academy (Dedham, MA) to play the Bears in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 3. The Bears come into the contest with a record of 3-2.
