Vasquez Mustangs (Acton, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oakwood Owls (North Hollywood, CA), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 16-7 record. They take the field next when they host Golden Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25.

With the loss, Oakwood falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Owls host Desert Christian (Lancaster, CA) to battle the Knights in a Heritage challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-6.
