Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Reavis Rams (Burbank, IL), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Astros now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lockport for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Shepard will face a Porters squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Porters record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Reavis falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Rams host Bremen (Midlothian, IL) to face the Braves in a South Suburban challenge on Friday, April 15. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-10. Bremen lost 15-5 in their recent league challenge against Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL)
