The Salem Witches softball team (Salem, MA), was routed 11-4 in Thursday's league test with the host Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA)

Coming up next, the Big Blue encounter the Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 20. Swampscott will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Chieftains enter the test with a 2-0 record after their 10-2 non-league win over Saugus (Saugus, MA).

The Witches (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Winthrop (Winthrop, MA). The Vikings enter the Northeast test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Winthrop was routed by Marblehead (Marblehead, MA), 12-10, in a league test.
