The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to McKinney North for a 5A Region II District 10 challenge on Tuesday, April 19.

With the loss, Sherman falls to 8-19 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Wylie East (Wylie, TX) to battle the Raiders in a 5A Region II District 10 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 15-13. Wylie East won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Princeton (Princeton, TX)
