Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX), 10-9 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 12-14 record. They take the field next when they host Judson for a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Steele will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Rockets record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, South San Antonio falls to 12-14 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Wagner (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Thunderbirds in a 6A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a record of 0-16. Wagner lost 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Clemens (Schertz, TX)
