The Stevenson Spartans baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Canton Chiefs to 5 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.
The Spartans (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Walled Lake Northern edged Novi (Novi, MI), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Canton falls to 0-1 on the season. The Chiefs travel to South Lyon (South Lyon, MI) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 5-1.
