Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Fayetteville Lions (Fayetteville, TX), 4-3 in a league test.

With the win, Iola upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season.

With the defeat, Fayetteville falls to 7-6 on the season. The Lions travel to Round Top-Carmine (Carmine, TX) to battle the Cubs in a 1A Region IV District 26 test on Wednesday, April 19. The Cubs come into the test with a record of 4-7. Round Top-Carmine won 10-3 in their recent league test against Richards (Richards, TX)
