Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Leopards now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Catoctin for a CMC challenge on Monday, April 17. Smithsburg will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Middletown (Middletown, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Brunswick falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Railroaders travel to Walkersville (Walkersville, MD) to battle the Lions in a CMC challenge on Monday, April 17. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Walkersville won 11-5 in their recent league challenge against Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD)
