The Shallowater Mustangs softball team scored 27 runs and limited the visiting Childress Bobcats to 5 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Shallowater moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Abernathy (Abernathy, TX) to play the Antelopes in a 3A Region I District 2 game on Tuesday, April 18. The Antelopes come into the game with a record of 1-10. Abernathy lost 15-0 in their recent league game against Slaton (Slaton, TX)

In their next game, the Bobcats play the Roosevelt Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 game, on Tuesday, April 18. Childress will attempt to move on its 5-17 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 6-7 record after their 16-0 league loss to Idalou (Idalou, TX).
