The Cottage Grove Lions softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Marshfield Pirates to 3 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Cottage Grove moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Lions travel to North Bend (North Bend, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Midwestern game on Tuesday, April 18. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 2-5.

In their next game, the Pirates play the Marist Spartans (Eugene, OR) in a 4A Sky-Em game, on Friday, April 21. Marshfield will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record.
