De Pere Redbirds (De Pere, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Manitowoc Lincoln Ships (Manitowoc, WI), 10-0 in a league challenge.
The Redbirds now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bay Port for a Fox River Classic challenge on Saturday, April 15.
With the loss, Manitowoc Lincoln falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Ships host Oshkosh North (Oshkosh, WI) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Oshkosh North lost 18-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Menasha (Menasha, WI)
