La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Edinburg Bobcats (Edinburg, TX), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Coyotes now own a 23-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Economedes for a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. La Joya will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Mission (Mission, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-17.

With the loss, Edinburg falls to 11-15 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to battle the Cougars in a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 9-20. Edinburg North lost 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX)
