The Ellsworth Bearcats softball team scored 3 runs and limited the host Minneapolis Lions to 2 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Ellsworth improves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Bearcats host Sacred Heart (Salina, KS) to clash with the Knights in a North Central AA game on Tuesday, April 18. The Knights come into the game with a record of 1-10. Sacred Heart lost 19-0 in their recent league game against Beloit (Beloit, KS)
In their next game, the Lions clash with the Russell Broncos (Russell, KS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 18. Minneapolis will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Broncos come into the game with a 1-11 record after their 17-14 non-league loss to Ellinwood (Ellinwood, KS).
