The crowd at Friday's league match between the Glenbard North Panthers (Carol Stream, IL) and the host Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL), saw Glenbard North's softball squad nip Geneva by a count of 9-5.

The Panthers now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles East for a DuKane match on Monday, April 17. Glenbard North will face a Fighting Saints squad coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Geneva falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL) to face the Saxons in a non-league match on Saturday, April 15. The Saxons enter the match with a record of 2-6. Schaumburg lost 8-5 in their recent league battle against Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL)
