Texas High School Softball - Longview can't get by Hallsville

In Friday's league contest, the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) softball team held off the host Longview Lobos (Longview, TX), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, Hallsville moves its record to 14-10 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Tyler (Tyler, TX) to play the Lions in a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Tuesday, April 18. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 1-24. Tyler lost 23-0 in their recent league contest against Pine Tree (Longview, TX)

In their next game, the Lobos play the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 contest, on Tuesday, April 18. Longview will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Mavericks come into the contest with a 8-18 record after their 4-3 league loss to Texas (Texarkana, TX).
