Hamlin Pied Pipers (Hamlin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX), 19-15 in a non-league challenge.

The Pied Pipers now own a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anson for a 2A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Hamlin will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 19-7 league loss to Stamford (Stamford, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Hermleigh falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Seymour (Seymour, TX) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 10-10.
