In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting Wyoming East Warriors softball team scored a nice 10-2 win over the James Monroe Mavericks.
Coming up next, the Warriors encounter the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a Coalfield A outing, on Monday, April 17. Wyoming East will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Grizzlies enter the outing with a 7-7 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
The Mavericks (3-7) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Red Devils enter the Coalfield AA outing with a 3-8 record.
