Kingwood Mustangs (Kingwood, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 25-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Humble for a 6A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Kingwood will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to North Shore (Houston, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-21.

With the loss, West Brook falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Bruins host Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX) to face the Timberwolves in a 6A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Timberwolves enter the challenge with a record of 0-15. Beaumont United lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Summer Creek (Houston, TX)
