New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals (Saginaw, MI), 13-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Durand for a Mid-Michigan challenge on Monday, April 17. New Lothrop will face a Railroaders squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI). The Railroaders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Michigan Lutheran Seminary falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals host St. Louis (St. Louis, MI) to face the Sharks in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. The Sharks enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
