The Tarkington Longhorns softball team (Cleveland, TX), was routed 18-2 in Friday's league test with the visiting New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX)

Coming up next, the Bulldogs encounter the Onalaska Wildcats (Onalaska, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 test, on Tuesday, April 18. New Waverly will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the test with a 1-14 record after their 16-1 league loss to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX).

The Longhorns (11-17) will now prepare for their test against Shepherd (Shepherd, TX). The Pirates enter the 3A Region III District 23 test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Shepherd prevailed over Crockett (Crockett, TX), 16-1, in a league test.
