The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA) and the host Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA), saw Chilhowie's baseball team gain a win over Northwood by a tally of 27-2.

The Warriors (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Solvay (Solvay, NY). The Bearcats enter the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Solvay was overwhelmed by St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Buffalo, NY), 9-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Panthers face the Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) in a Hogoheegee battle, on Thursday, April 17. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Honaker (Honaker, VA).
