Georgia High School Baseball - Veterans nips Mary Persons

The Veterans Warhawks baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Mary Persons Bulldogs to 12 in the Warhawks non-league win on Monday.

The Warhawks now hold a 11-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peach County for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. Veterans will play a Trojans team coming off a 15-0 league win over Dougherty (Albany, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 26-2.

With the defeat, Mary Persons drops to 12-14 on the year. The Bulldogs host Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to play the Knights in a AAA Region 2 test on Tuesday, April 15. The Knights go into the test with a record of 13-12. Upson-Lee lost 6-5 in their recent league test against Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA)
