The Pinecrest Patriots baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host New Hanover Wildcats to 4 in the Patriots non-league win on Monday.
The Patriots now hold a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they host Laney for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. Pinecrest will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 13-4.
With the defeat, New Hanover drops to 11-6 on the year. The Wildcats host Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 16-2. Corinth Holders won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC)
