In Monday's non-league match, the host Buckingham Knights softball team scored a tight 16-15 victory over the Randolph-Henry Statesmen.
The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Nottoway (Nottoway, VA). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Nottoway tipped Charles City (Charles City, VA), 10-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Statesmen battle the Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, April 15. Randolph-Henry will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record.
