Illinois High School Softball - Armstrong can't get by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin

The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils edged the visiting Armstrong Trojans softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils play the Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Cornjerkers enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 11-1 league loss to Salt Fork (Sidell, IL).

The Trojans (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley was nudged by El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 14-9, in a league challenge.
