In Monday's non-league test, the Horseshoe Bend Generals (New Site, AL) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL), by a tally of 16-7.

Coming up next, the Generals confront the Beulah Bobcats (Valley, AL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Horseshoe Bend will attempt to move on its 20-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the battle with a 13-15 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL).

With the loss, Central of Clay County moves to 14-12 on the season. The Volunteers host Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL) to confront the Lions in a 5A Area 8 battle on Tuesday, April 15. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 4-13. Briarwood Christian won 10-8 in their recent league battle against Shelby County (Columbiana, AL)
