The East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) softball routed the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 7-0 in Monday's league outing.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Surry for a Foothills 2A outing on Tuesday, April 15. East Surry will encounter a Greyhounds team coming off a 8-0 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Wilkes Central falls to 1-10 on the year. The Eagles host North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to meet the Vikings in a Foothills 2A challenge on Monday, April 21. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 3-5.
