In Monday's non-league match, the host Salem Spartans softball team scored a nice 10-0 win over the Glenvar Highlanders.

The Spartans (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA). The Titans come into the River Ridge match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Hidden Valley was routed by William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 13-7, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Highlanders battle the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a Three Rivers match, on Tuesday, April 15. Glenvar will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 15-0 league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA).
