The Muhlenberg County Mustangs overwhelmed the host Hopkins County Central Storm softball squad by a count of 8-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs meet the McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY) in a District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Muhlenberg County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Hancock County (Lewisport, KY).
The Storm (1-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY). The Panthers go into the District 7 challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Dawson Springs was routed by Caldwell County (Princeton, KY), 18-0, in a league challenge.
