The North Surry Greyhounds triumphed over the visiting North Wilkes Vikings softball squad by a count of 8-0 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Greyhounds meet the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a Foothills 2A challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. North Surry will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 7-0 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).
The Vikings (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks enter the Foothills 2A challenge with a 12-3 record. In their last challenge, West Wilkes overcame Forbush (East Bend, NC), 8-1, in a league challenge.
